Erwin Irawan Permana. 2007. Inventory of Entomopathogenic fungi of B. tabaci Genn. (Homoptera:aleyrodidae) in Kecamatan Ciwidey. Under guidance of Sudarjat and Endah Yulia.

The presence of B.  tabaci is a potential of pests on crop plants in Kecamatan Ciwidey that may cause economicals damage. The most outstanding feature of the species is its ability to adapt to a variety of host plants and to unfavourable environmental conditions. The objective of this research was to find potential fungus that pathogenic to B. tabaci in Kecamatan Ciwidey. This research was carried out from November 2006 to July 2007.

The sample of this research were collect from three areas in Kecamatan Ciwidey (Panundaan, Lebakmuncang, Ciwidey). Isolation and Identification of the sample were taken at the Laboratory of Phytopathology, Departement of Plant Pests Science and Diseases, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Padjadjaran. Pathogenicity test of the isolated fungi were conducted both in laboratory and field experiment at the Panundaan area of Kecamatan Ciwidey.
The result of this experiment showed that there were two pathogenic fungi, i.e., Paecilomyces species of Lebakmuncang and Panundaan isolate. The Paecilomyces sp. of Panundaan isolate infected B. tabaci both in the laboratory experiment and the field experiment. Meanwhile, Paecilomyces sp. of Lebakmuncang isolate infected only B. tabaci on the laboratory experiment.
